Life As Of Lately!
My life, lately, has consisted of school, basketball, friends and more basketball. School is great so far- I am really liking the looks of this new semester. I have a feeling that it is going to be fun... I have never had school be 'fun' for me, so I am pretty excited. For basketball, we are 3-1 in conference play. We are playing really well! We played TCU tonight, actually, and we lost a really close game to them. It is so frustrating because we so clearly outplayed them for 35 minutes of the game... and we lost in the last 5 minutes with silly fouls, unfavorable calls, circus shots thrown up by the other team. So, in a sense.. we can't be too disappointed. Rather, we should be excited because we can kill them when they come to our house! Good luck Horned Frogs...
I have to mention something that is pretty sweet, though. We beat Utah at home about a week ago! It was such a sweet win. We played incredible defense and ended up beating them by about 15 points. I never realized how intense the BYU- Utah rivalry really is until last year when we first played them in their gym. Not living in Utah... you don't get a real taste. Last year, I red shirted and going to the game I really just assumed it would be just like every other game we play. However, as soon as warm ups started.... I could feel my blood boil and I just had the strongest desire to BEAT THEM! It is so funny how that is.

Wanna know something funny? One of my very best friends plays for Utah. Taryn Wicijowski! This girl... an absolute hoot. I played with her on the Jr. National team a couple years ago and had an absolutely blast with her. We were friends pretty much as soon as we met. I love her to death... we always can find something to laugh about. Unfortunately, Taryn suffered an ACL tear and is out for this season... but, she's amazing and she is going to kill it in the Pac-10 next year. Despite the BYU-Utah rivalry, we are still really great friends.
Last weekend... I had a little bit of a blast from the past. Okay.. maybe not the past but... HIGH SCHOOL. I had two of my best friends spend the weekend with me! Aneka, is now attending BYU Provo and it is so fun to have her here. I have known Aneka since I was 3 and it is pretty cool to think that we have graduated high school together and will most likely graduate from the same university. Also... I have mentioned her before but... Miss Trina Hill paid me and provo a visit. I used to spend so much time with these girls and we have had some pretty great times together. It is so much fun because... We have Trina, who is outgoing, lively, silly and just a cute personality and then we have Aneka who is calm, sweet, docile and just a doll. Two different ends of the spectrum... I think I fit right in the middle of Aneka and Trina.. I think that is why we have so much fun together. I miss these girls! This weekend really felt like we were in high school again. Love em' to death!
So... there you have it. Not a lot... but enough to blog about. I just wish all of my SISTERS would UPDATE their blogs since I don't get to SEE them living here in UTAH!!!!!

New Semester!
Finally, a new semester. You have all heard my complaints of last semester, so I will not bore you anymore with them. I will; however, tell you how excited I am for this new semester. I am actually starting to take classes in my major and the sights of graduating and getting a degree are closer. Hard to believe that I am half way through my second year of university. Crazy, crazy!
