That's right.... Home in 3 days!! I cannot wait. I am so excited to see all my family and Trav! It's going to be such a fun trip and the whole fam' is going to be there. Including Mackenz' and the clan! It's been a really long time since we've all been together. I am so excited!!!!

So excited for these two love birds to finally be hitched!!! Mr and Mrs. Wood to be!!

I have a very busy Monday and Tuesday ahead of me! I have practice, classes, 3 exams to take, packing, work outs, homework assignments. It's a lot to do... but, I'm grateful because it will make the time go by faster!

Cheers to the freakin' weekend!

I had a good weekend down here in Pro-vo! It was a recruiting weekend so, we had 4 girls come that have interest in BYU or that have already committed. It is our job, as a team, to show them a good time and demonstrate to them why BYU would be the best choice. These girls are ballers and we want them on our team!! On Friday night we were all able to go to dinner at Goodwood or Goodwill, in the words of Jeff Judkins, and it was delicious! Afterwards, we hit up the bowling alley and then went to a dance. These activities were perfect because they showed how crazy, fun and cool our team is! I had such a good time. I usually despise dance parties... but, the company I was with made it an absolute blast. We were all sweaty messes after dancing our lil' hearts out.
FUN
My partners in crime... minus Fus.

The next day we started off the day with my MOST favorite pass time.... RIDING!!! It was honestly one of the greatest rides I've been on in a long time. It was a perfect morning and where we were riding was absolutely breathtaking. It was a small piece of heaven, that's for sure! I loved every minute of it. Beautiful weather, beautiful people, beautiful place all while on the back of a horse. What more could I ask for? After the ride we played some games in the park and then went back and got ready for the Holy War (BYU vs. Utah football)
The calm before the strom...
The sky was SWEET! This picture does not do it justice.
54-10..... really BYU? Really?
Needless to say, it was a rough game for the mighty Cougars. First of all, it's embarrassing to lose by 44 points but... to Utah?! I've experienced what it feels like to lose to Utah and it's plain awful. So, I feel your pain boys!! It's all good though! The Utes had a good night, no doubt. But, I pitty them for the next time they meet the Cougs!

I got my hair done! It's really blonde.. and it's taking me some time to get used to. But, it's fun!! I like it.

Update!

Alright, here's the scoop.... I have a boyfriend! His name is Sir Travis Seaborn! I've mentioned him a lot in my past few posts. We've been dating on and off since about April and I was able to spend a lot of time with him in the summer and these past few weekends and I've decided that... I kind of like this guy! Obviously, the situation isn't entirely ideal with him at home and me in Provo... but, things have been great so far! He has definitely made it easy.
I'm going to brag about Travis for a minute here.... He is one of the kindest, funniest, sincere, honest and most gentle guys that I've ever met. We always have the best time and I'm always laughing and for any of you that know me well, I love to laugh. He is a hard worker with a strong desire to do what's right! I admire him in a lot of ways! I don't know how much he would like the idea of me writing a big post about JUST him (he's a humble guy too) but, I know a lot of you want to know and it seems like my blog was the best way to do it!
Travis is the handsome one on the right! This picture was at his brother, Tyler's, wedding a year ago! I don't have any pictures of Trav' and I yet... but, I wanted you to be able to put a name to a face so... here ya' go!!
I'm very happy, clearly. School really isn't that bad this semester and I am enjoying all of my classes. Also, for the FIRST time in my entire academic career (yes... including kindergarten) I am ahead in my classes! What a difference it makes. It's my 3rd year in University and I feel like I've actually figured it out. Time management is KEY!!! Especially with basketball, if I don't manage my time well.... yikes!!

It should be a pretty good week! I'm getting my hair did on Tuesday, my Grandma is visiting and the BYU vs. Utah game is this weekend!!! 16 more days until Caitlin and Jordan's wedding and I am so excited to go home and see everyone!!

First Week of School... check

Well, the school year is finally here and I am working to settle into a few routines and get back into the swing of things. Summer never, ever feels long enough... but, since school has started I've wondered if I have ever done school before- - it's hard!! This is my least favorite time of year for several reasons...

  • School starts (I know, I need to get a better attitude)
  • Basketball season is still 2 months away which means that we are in preseason. Preseason = hell.
  • I get a little homesick after being home in the summer.
  • I always find spiders in our house...
  • Campus is chaotic which means parking at BYU is near impossible.
That being said... I do realize that it isn't all bad...
  • It's football season!!!
  • Fall is a beautiful time of year in Utah.
  • The sooner you start... the sooner you finish. In regards to school, I mean.
  • I have more opportunities to get ahead in school before the season hits full swing.
  • I can be more social because I'm actually in Provo and not traveling a ton.
The first week was really hectic. For the first day I wasn't registered for ANY of the right classes because I was in the middle of switching my major and I couldn't register for classes because I had a hold on my student account, which meant that I had to do a bunch of running around to get the hold lifted. Anyways... it was a mess! But, all is well now and I am happy with my classes and schedule. I've been especially blessed this semester because every single one of my classes has a perfect balance between my spiritual and secular education. I find it a lot easier to find motivation because it is learning that I can most definitely apply to my every day life.

I mentioned in one of my earlier posts that the team and I were headed to St. George for a fun weekend retreat! Well, I haven't had the opportunity to give much of an update on that. But, there is only one real word to describe it..... FUN! It was blazing hot in St. George but we had an absolute blast. It definitely helped us grow closer as a team! Go Cougs!!!
My pretty team in Zion National Park!!

After I got home from St. George on Saturday I was lucky to come back to Travis! He was down with his family for a family-friend's-son's mission homecoming! It was super convenient because it was just in American Fork! We had another really good weekend together and had a lot of fun. On Sunday, after the homecoming, we went to the family's house for dinner and saw one of the cutest things ever. Okay, if any of you have ever seen a basset hound puppy... you would agree that they are one of the cutest puppies ever. This little puppy was so precious! She would walk around and her ears would drag on the ground. I'll admit that when they grow up they really aren't the most striking of dogs! But, my goodness... this puppy was to die for!!

Sister Wilde!

Last night one of my really good friends, Whitney Wilde, got her mission call! The first time I met Whitney... one of the first things she told me was that she was going on a mission. Usually, when some girls say that they want to serve a mission... I kind of say to myself... 'we'll see if that happens'. But, with Whitney, I knew that from the moment she said it that she was going on a mission. She has always been so determined and I am so proud of her for getting to where she is!
Sister Wilde!!!

She is going to the Portugal, Lisbon mission!! I am so, so, so excited for her and she going to do WORK over there. It was the coolest thing being able to watch her open her call, the spirit was so strong!!
